Oceanus

Oceanus is roughly half the king's age - but being a male and larger, when the adventurous young Scopulus decided to set out on a journey to make her own pride - he figured he could tag along and forcibly take charge of the pride when she'd used her charm to gather enough lionesses.
Scopulus hadn't brought him because he was some sad boy being kicked from his pride - she brought him to sire cubs, being unable to do it herself - but she could always find another subordinate male.
Needless to say his attempt to usurp her did not go well - When he attacked her she immediately gave him a searing wound that would scar across his nose bridge, and as the few lionesses Scopulus had gathered heard the fierce snarling they banded together to show oceanus his place. In the end, he seems to have accepted he will always be below scopulus, and while aloof he does now support and defend her. He essentially never speaks except to give orders, and goes on patrols whenever he can to escape the annoying chattiness of the pride.
Oceanus should logically be in the Lux cave - but it seems Scopulus is holding a grudge, either that, or her excuse that tenebris needed a guard was really the truth.
Oceanus is only ever close to the other pridemates when he is to sire their cubs - and oddly enough cubs turn out looking like Scopulus despite Oceanus being the Sire. Oceanus knows he is unlikely to ever become the next pride leader before he is too old to function, but he may hope to one day train an heir to the throne who will lead in the way he sees best.
