You saw Astrid leap up to grab a bird yesterday - cool! You ask her how she did it, and she is quite happy to show you and help you practice!
A gift from a dear friend, and Dusty Breakfast’s first wife. She has mothered many cubs, regardless of wether or not she birthed them. Blessed be her soul
Dusty breakfast’s departing message to his beloved astrid reads thus; “Remember me fondly, for i am eternally at your side. Fear not the embrace of death, for in heaven i wait patiently. I will be there to lift your spirit up, just as you cradled mine in our world of the living. My physical heart may be still and cold, but here among the warm savannah sunlight it continues to beat for only you. Forever Yours, Dusty Breakfast Sausage.”
He parts from his body with an affectionate sigh, and astrid gently grooming his fur. She sheds soft crystaline tears over his body, though she smiles knowing he was loved by all who met him.
As her day of passing finally came, just a few nights after her beloved, she looked to the sky and felt familiar fur against her cheek. Dusty Breakfast purred at her sweetly, wrapping her in his embrace.
“Astrid, how i’ve missed you..”
She nuzzled his mane, inhaling deeply. Her pridemates gathered round, each one including herself expecting this breath to be her last. She couldnt help but worry for the collective; feeling greif sweep through their minds once again. She had mothered them all, in a way, and they could barely stand to loose her too.
Dusty sweetly lifted her head by the chin, those same tears rolling down her slightly wrinkled cheeks.
“Do you wish to stay with them, my dear?”
She let out a sorrowful groan as she gazed into his eyes, not being able to decide. She didnt ever want to leave his side again, but she loved her pride with the same ferocity.
“Theres a way for us to stay as we are, walking on the light beams snd speaking in the tongue of the gods. With this, my sweet apricity, you will not have to choose between life and death.”
Dusty lays down at her side, urging her to look as heseskiel enters the den. He presents to her a gift from Brother Mcdavis Cravis. A canopic jellyfish, with her name neatly carved in the lid. Her kindness is known throughout the lands, it seems.
She would continue to feel Dusty’s warmth as hesekiel offers the jellyfish to osiris, the energy in the room quickly shifting As her pretty blue eyes fluttered back open.
