Nine wandered into the pride after being chased off by her last pride. She never found out the reason why she was chased, but she hopes one day she can go back because her mate is there. After finding her way onto Cypress' territory she begged and pleaded to join the pride because she could hunt by herself. Cypress' originally turned her down and told her to leave. And so she attempted to seduce Cypress. Cypress was hesitant but slightly persuaded, so he decided to make a deal with her. If she bore two "high quality" cubs, she could stay for as long as she wanted. She felt wrong about it for two reasons, she thought it would be hard for her to produce children just to sell them, and she had made a promise with her old clanmate. She eventually saw no other option and agreed to his deal.

Third-Person info:
(When Nine was in her last pride she grew up with a young lioness who happened to be the clan leader's daughter, her name was Pluto. They both eventually admitted feelings for each other and swore that when they turned two they would run away together and start their own pride, and take in orphaned cubs as their own. But one month before they turned two the pride leader found out about their plan and chased Nine out of the territory. Nine does not know that their plan was discoverd, and so she is still hopeful that she will be welcomed back.
