you approach the lioness but something told you to tread carefully. so following your gut you do you slowly take steps forward and sit with a distance between you both. you see her eyes and believe she is blind so you clear your throat to gain her attention and say hi. "Im not blind, I can see you!" she hisses. she sees you wince at her outburst and sighs. "I'm sorry, it's just with my eyes being the color they are everyone assumes I'm blind when indeed I am not." she sits up and shakes out her fur and the hyena pelt she wears. miraculously they don't fall and neither does her headpiece. "I'm raspberry thistle by the way but you can call me thistle. most do anyway" "I'm actually the lead hunter and currently teaching my daughter to hunt." she laughed "how do you think I got this hyena pelt, that sucker didn't stand a chance against me" her daughter then walked up with dead nyala in her mouth. at first glance, she looked like a male but at closer inspection, she was indeed a female with a mane mutation. "ah, this is my daughter Kiriana, Kiri says hi" the adolescent greeted you before turning and walking out of the den to join the other cubs and adolescents. the lioness stood and bowed her head. "it was a pleasure to meet you but I must get this nyala to mercury ghost. safe travels" and with that, she left the den with the carcass leaving you to figure out what to do next.
