"Seeing a rainbow was rare, clouds parted to show an arch of colors across the sky. Our pride looked skyward, adoring many colors. So mesmerized in fact, that we almost didn't notice the new lioness approaching. Her coat was deep red, the kind of a day old kill. The marks along her fur reflected the sky above. She spoke in a foreign tongue, her voice as soft as cloud. Though uncertain of the lionesses origin, we greeted her with an open heart. She found her place in the pride, working with cubs. Adopting much of the abandoned young. Gökkuşağı now spends her days running after cubs and grooming her pride, her coat forever reflecting the sky."
