Murik The Unwanted ----------------------------------------------- Murik. One of the few surviving cubs of Zombie, born of a one-off encounter with some lucky lion. She was born deep into the winter season, and quickly abandoned by her birthmother. However was lucky enough to be picked up by a group of gorillas, who raised her tenderly until she was old enough to roam on her own, when she was she set off to find her mothers pride. It didn't take long, afterall, they were one of the largest and most prolific groups in the region, praying to the stars above she hoped they'd show her the kindness they denied her mother so long ago. She watched them for days, watching their habits, routines, waiting for the perfect time to introduce herself- hoping they'd take a lonely adolescent like herself. It was a sunny afternoon, everyone was lazing about. Cubs playing, lionesses grooming and chatting about this and that, and at the head of it all was the king and queen, grooming eachother and cooing over their latest litter of cubs, still too small for their eyes to even be open yet. slowly she weaved between lousing lionesses and cheery cubs until she stood anxiously before the leaders of the pride. She introduced herself as the daughter of the roamer, a lost soul seeking the home that once housed her mother, hoping to reconnect with her lost family, distantly in the background, she noticed a golden lioness perking up to look over. The king and queen exchanged worried glances, communicating with their eyes before looking the young lioness over again, the king pulling himself to his feet to glare at her, simply growling a soft "Leave.", taking a menacing step forward. Knowing better than to fight against him, she turned tail and ran, chancing a glance back to see the two oldest males glaring her down, the queen between them protectively around her cubs. So she ran, and hid herself in the forest, where a kind lioness took her under her wing, teaching her the ways of a healer, raising her to be better than those of her kin. She grew into solitude, selling her herbal remedies for a price.. Until one day, a strong Felis approached her, a golden smile, offering her a place at the home that once rejected her. Well How could she say no?
