Princess Nightshade was a shock to the whole pride, she had been hidden away by Queen Sakura and her older sisters knew nothing of her birth. Once Queen Sakura had passed a neighbouring pride came to pay their respects and when they did so they also delivered the little princess. No one had known that Queen Sakura was expecting another cub. As such some of her older sisters were distrustful of her and hurt they were not told. Princess Margay was the angriest, claiming they shouldn’t take her in as it was ‘obvious the birth of this outcast’ caused the death of their mother. Queen Silver dismissed this rumour and demanded that the pride treated her like the Princess and member of the family she was. Queen Sakura came to Nightshade one night in her dreams and told her to be careful, and work hard. She told her she can trust her sisters but to be cautious of Margay and her ambition.
