Tazzy looking upset leans against Sunset for some emotional support. He asks what is bothering her. She says that it is her past.
"I never did ask where you came from all those years ago." Sunset says. Tazzy sighs and looks down at her paws. "Well, when I got here Sky hunter was the queen, and she knew my story and I thought she told you." She says looking surprised at his confused face.
" Alright, since I am your new queen, I guess I owe you the story of my youth..."
The flashback starts at the birth of Tazzy. She was born in a circus alongside her two brothers. Her mother left them alone each day while she performed for the humans. One day however when Tazzy was about 9 months, the circus staff came and took her brothers away leaving her alone. At 1 year of age Tazzy started her own performance because her mother passed of some unknown reason. When she did not do the correct movement or action, they would hurt her and punish her, but in a way that would never leave any scars. This went on for about 5 years. At the age of 6 she was broken but not tamed. One night the circus staff forgot to lock her cage door properly and all she had to do was push the door slightly to open it. She was uncertain if she would be able to get away quick enough without anyone noticing she was gone. She ran as quick as her wobbly legs would take her.
She kept running until she ran into the sea. There, she was found and darted. She thought she would go back to that dreadful circus, however when she opened her eyes, she was in a grassy area with a large marula tree. She leapt up in joy but tripped over her own tail. She was free...
Days later she stumbled upon a Lion and his one of his lionesses lounging in the sun. She approached carefully and lowered her head to show respect but ended up walking straight into a termite mound. The King started chuckling, but his Queen growled at him instantly. "I am Sky hunter, the queen of this territory... and this is Sunset knight, the King!"
Tazzy still rubbing her sore head smiles:" Good day Sky, I am Tazzy and I am new at this whole being outside thing" Both Sunset and Sky looked at each other confused as to her meaning. "Well, whatever you mean by that you are welcome to join me and my pride!" Sunset says proudly.
Tazzy nods and lies down next to them taking in her view once more.
