Why won't the pain just go away?? The other lioness wouldn't stop attacking her, the fight should have already been over, but the king wanted a bit more entertainment than usual, so he decided to punish her for refusing to fight. The full grown lioness that the barely adosolent Eden had been put up against had no pity in her blood red eyes. "Mother please make her stop!" The young lioness called out, looking into the crowd to find her mother, only to lock eyes with a stone cold expression on her mothers face. She then looked to the king, only to have her gaze ripped away by yet another slashing blow from her opponent. Finally, she decided to stop cowering. She snarled with a hatred in her eyes so fierce that her opponent stumbled back in surprise. She leaped onto her opponent's back and ripped away with her claws and teeth until her opponent collapsed. She stood over her opponent with her neck in her jaws and muttered around the fur "You give up yet?" she couldn't even answer. Eden walked away from the arena limping before she collapsed to the dirt in her mother's den. She sobbed herself to sleep that night. The next morning Eden woke up and cleaned her wounds before she walked out to the training grounds. She gazed at all the lionesses with horns, wings, and odd glowing coming from their eyes. Most prides would find this odd, but not her, this was a Dominic pride, some would say the king was satan himself. Even Eden herself had four horns and the power to control fire in her paws. Unfortunately, so did her opponent yesterday. She examined her wounds, and knew they would scar. Yesterday was her first fight, and she did an awful job. She shook her head, then stood up to find an opponent to train with. If she wanted to stay alive, she would have to train like never before. She refused to back down, she would NEVER lose again. She couldn't disappoint her mom like she did last night, she just couldn't.
She trained harder and harder every single day, no breaks, no rest, only fighting. She began getting better, the next fight she was in, she won, and the next, and the next. She was winning every fight now. She always kept her morals, never kill, fight until she doesn’t have to any more, then apologize for any injuries caused. She hated to fight, but it was necessary. It wasn’t all that bad, that is, until the new laws were made. The demonic king declared that from now on, all lions must participate in the fights, even the cubs. And that a new rule was added to the fights, it must be to the death. The day after the law was made, she was put in the ring against a month old cub. She didn’t want to fight this little one, much less kill it, but if she didn’t, she would be killed, and her family. She made it a quick fight. The cub didn’t suffer. That night as she sat awake in the den, she thought about her life, she couldn’t handle it any more. She couldn’t continue killing innocent cubs and lions. She had to leave. In the morning, before any other lions had woken up, she left. She didn’t even say goodbye. She would be better off this way, a loner, no one to be hurt by her, no one to hurt her either. No one at all. She wandered around for three months ( at which point she was a year old), until she found a pack of hyenas. She had been taught to despise hyenas, but then again, she was also taught to be cruel and heartless. So she approached them. They offered to let her join the pack if she would hunt for them, so the deal was struck. She became close with the hyenas, even considered them family. The hyenas cared for her, they even let her play with their cubs. They really were a family, the first family she ever had that actually loved her.
The hyena’s were frequently attacked by different lion prides, and Eden fought by the hyena’s sides against the prides, the lions looked at her with disgust, wondering why a lioness would be protecting hyenas. She fought like the half demon she was, and the other lions, being normal, with no demonic abilities, always lost the battles. Eden was starting to be depressed, thinking that no lions would ever accept her. She loved her hyenas, but she wanted kinship with her own kind as well. One day, one of the scouts discovered a pride of lions advancing on the pack’s territory, Eden prepared for a battle, but was surprised by an offer of allyance. This pride of lions was fine with hyenas, and even was intrigued by Eden’s place in their pack. They offered to let her join the pride, and said that she could still be a part of the hyena pack as well. It was a dream come true, she started making friends in the pride, while keeping her hyena family
