Everyone has a dream.

Some want to be famous kings---famous lionesses known for their great deeds. Some want to have large families, with many loving cubs, for their own satisfaction, to please their king, or simply to support their pride. And other lionesses...

...lionesses like Primrose...



...yearn to find the perfect mate.


There's nothing wrong with having several handsome lions you could breed with---in fact, she respects those who keep their options open---it leads to a stronger pride, with lions that stand out in appearance as well as deed; but as for her?

She wants to find someone she can settle with. She wants to raise cubs together---to watch fondly from the den as her husband tussles with their young brood. It may be a simple dream, but to her, the idea of spending years together, grooming and loving one another even as youth gives way to age, white whiskers showing in their fur---its blissful.

What more could any lioness hope for, but a long lived life, surrounded by their family, knowing they were loved?

Primrose has been given much cause for thought as she watched the cubs within the pride at play. Her heart had been touched by the sounds of their joyous squeaks, and she found herself yearning for that perfect life. But with it had come doubts. Could she really be a good mother for her own cubs one day, inexperienced as she was?

Recent travels took Primrose to another pride by the ocean, where a damp cave had been tended to by a lioness who took care of cubs in need of homes, and she had brought one home with her. A soft, timid cub by the name of Lila.

She is determined to look after her well---to see her grow into a strong young woman, and see her thrive in the pride.
