Sole survivor of King L'yall's line, originally his chosen heir, the cub was trained by Hearth Keeper while the two were both submales. Hearth Keeper was supposed to leave the pride after to go start his own after Pest grew up but...things didn't go as planned. For L'yall or Pest. The night before Pest was set to join the adults, he woke to the sound of fighting, the lionesses shoving their cubs at Pest and telling him to take them to safety if King L'yall falls. He'd grown up on the stories of the tyrant Byrn, and he knew Hearth Keeper was his last son born after L'yall saved the pride. But he was a good guy, right? He wouldn't hurt him or the cubs! ....he was partially right. Pest himself wasn't harmed, the new king saw him as his own after the years of training, but his younger siblings? Killed. At least it was quick.
