Frozi

In the beginning Frozi lived amoungst the gods, watching over every lion pride from the heavens above. She had beautiful angel wings with a span of four metres, her pelt brown with faded grey spots and white patches. She was bold and brave as the protector of the gates of heaven she had a very important role which was to keep any bad spirits or demons out. One day she decided to take a small break from guarding all night, as she walked around the endless greenery and never ending summers of heaven when suddenly her mentor and closest ally the god of war Ares ran to her in a panic.
"Frozi! You left your post! What are you doing?!!" He shouted with panic and anger toward her.
She sighed and rolled her eyes "It's fine Ares! I know what I'm doing" she reassured him and flapped her wings with confidence. 
He shook his head in disappointment and took a deep breath trying not to panic.
“How can you be so naive? The gates were left unattended.. I went to check on you but instead I find the gates have been broken into!” He growled.
She was about to discard him before listening to the last part.
“What…?” She couldn’t quite understand what she had just heard. Broken into? How? Those gates were sealed shut no matter what unless a new arrival came seeking to spend eternity in heaven.
Ares then turned around his back facing her as he said “follow”
She did as he said and closely followed behind him, she was still trying to comprehend what he had told her, she tries her best to stay calm but it was going to be difficult.
When they arrived at the gates her worst nightmare came true.. both gates were broken and on the ground, they once stood tall in all their golden glory but now they are burnt to a crisp nothing but dust left.
Frozi stares at the floor as she processes what she had just done.. she allowed the one thing that she was meant to keep out into heaven, all the demons of hell had probably broken in and are now roaming the heavens.
Ares cleared his throat “I spoke with the other gods to let them know that the heavens are no longer safe.. so with the hard decision I must banish you from the heavens to live on earth with the mortals, you may keep some of your goddess powers but you will no longer be immortal after living a long life on earth you may return”
Ares stood tall over her as she suddenly shrunk in size turning mortal.
She lowered her head and slowly nodded not saying a word.
“I’m sorry Frozi.. but don’t let this ruin your new life on earth, it was not me who decided this but it was best I was the one who told you as the others wouldn’t have been so kind, I will watch over you as you live your life and fix the mess here” He stated sternly but softly.
Frozi looked up at him and gave a small smile “Okay Ares, I promise to look after my new friends on earth so that they may not come to any harm”
“That’s the spirit!” He smiled and gave her a hug before producing a portal to earth.
She took a deep breath before walking toward it, trying her best to see this as a positive thing because she had always wondered what earth was like whenever she would look down upon it from the heavens.
Ares gave her a small nudge and she entered being teleported to earth.

*A few years later*

After 14 years spent on earth she occasionally looks up at the clouds wondering if the dreams at night of her as a goddess guarding the gates of heaven were real or was it all just a dream? Baring two white wings she holds on to the little memories she has left of the once beautiful paradise she knew.
