As a small ragtag pride, that is simply a small outshooting of the much larger pride belonging to King Lance, Osirus felt no need for a Queen and simply lets the lionesses do as they please. Thus Zarafshan, being one of the first original lions of the pride, other than Osirus and her daughter that is. She has taken it upon herself to keep the other lions of the pride in check.
