Jade Leopard was born to Mossy Hollow in her first litter. The lioness was rather young and inexperienced, so she gave her to the broodmothers to raise. It was a prosperous time for the pride even though food was scarce elsewhere; the cub had many friends to grow up with. She was known for being bossy, a bit prudish, and notably outspoken: the exact opposite of her mother and even her grandmother, her namesake. Eventually, Jade Leopard was chosen to be a huntress for the pride, just like Mossy Hollow. She inherited her natural abilities. When she was fully grown, her mother, now older and regretful of her decision not to raise her daughter, tried to form a bond with her, but the lioness was rather cold in response. She watched other cubs raised by their family her entire life, yet Mossy Hollow chose not to spend time with her until adulthood. Jade Leopard didn't understand, and she harbored harsh feelings for her mother.
