Kuuma

"Kuuma, leave me alone," growls Tomesha as the young female seeks the affection of her half-asleep elder.
She grumbles and continues on her way, passing other females busy with their own activities without finding anyone to pay attention to her, much to her regret. She eventually goes to seek the attention of Da'rhad lying on an elevated stone, who greets her with a slight rumble. She coos and rubs her head against his forehead and finally lays close to him with a sigh.
No one will admit it, but Kuuma is the pride's little darling, and her incessant need for affection seems to be greatly tolerated by the others. This is quite rare, as such weakness can be frowned upon by some in Sunnan Gorge. Perhaps she has a gift for this sort of thing.
But Ahdisa rather suspects that she was weaned too early and compensates for her lack of maternal care by an excessive need to be nurtured and reassured.
This greatly worries Da'rhad, and the nanny shares his concern. Perhaps Kuuma will need special supervision when she'll have to care for her own cubs. But is there room for such a privilege at Sunnan Gorge?
