Alinafe

Born from an affair between another King and her mother, Alinafe has been punished since the day of her birth. Her littermates have been erased from her life by Eseoghene, her mother reduced to being bred to the very King that Alinafe was born from.

She would have been killed as well, but Eseoghene had other plans for her. He had been enamored by her beauty. When she became of age, Eseoghene had declared that from then on, until his death, she would be known as the Pride's Queen.

She was given her own cave where she spent many nights alone with Eseoghene. Every time she went into heat, he was immediately there to ensure that she would produce for him an heir. Every single time, she had failed to produce one. She had to watch as cub after cub was either chased away or slain.

Rumors reached her ears of two cubs that Ife and Eniola have found and started to raise in secret. It was their hope that these two would end up as a better King and Queen together to save the Pride from the cruelty of Eseoghene. Alinafe promised that until the cubs were ready, she would keep Eseoghene has distracted as possible so his mother and sister wouldn't be caught in the midst of their betrayal.
