Redwood

(Gen 1, Clean) (Chased Lioness)

It all began one day when Beleth was out exploring the desert. He had heard stories of rosette marked lionesses, legend of the magnificent markings and their tendency to have gorgeous cubs. As he traveled, he noticed a flash of red and purple in the distance. As he got closer he realized that it was no ordinary lion--it was a lioness with beautiful, distinct rosette markings. She was also in heat, as she had been exiled from her own pride. Without hesitation, Beleth quickly claimed the lioness for his own and brought her back to his pride.

The lioness, named Redwood, quickly fell in love with Beleth and gave birth to a cub only three months later. He was a handsome male and he was named Wish. Several years later, Redwood gave birth to another cub, a primal felis male, who was named Atlas.

Beleth adored both Wish and Atlas and treated them both equally, even though they were born from two different mothers. As they grew, Beleth and Redwood slowly grew old together. Sadly, Beleth passed away of old age and Redwood mourned him heavily, as she was still nursing their youngest cub, a primal male named Fang'Paw.

It was after this time that she started to understand the legacy that Beleth left for his prides. He had brought the fire the pride needed to be strong and prosperous, but he had also brought something else; a lioness and her cubs of unparalleled beauty. And it was known that any king or queen would have done the same if they had the opportunity. Redwood and her cubs now held a special place in the pride that would never be forgotten.
