familiar: comet

out wandering by herself, the scent of an unfamiliar creature caught her nose. curiosity driving her forwards, so she went.
she was far deep into the territory and faint wailing could be heard. but it didn't sound like anything she ever heard before. she slowly walked further towards the creature and found something she'd never seen before; a dragon.
it was a baby and it appeared to have an injured wing, judging by how it was dragging on the floor as it walked. asteria calls the little one over and it happily jumps in the air, then proceeds to rub against her.
she couldn't just leave it here. it'd obviously die by itself, but did it have a mother? would her pride stand a chance against an angry dragon?
she decides to leave it here for the time being then come back tomorrow. she says her farewell then runs back to her pride, deciding not to say anything for the time being.

the next day, she arrived at the same spot and the dragon appeared to be in the same spot still. the mother must have lost her baby, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to meet her.
she carefully scoops up the dragon, a heartwarming feeling filling her heart. she travels back to the pride with the dragon.
araumi was skeptical at first but he then realized how passionate asteria was about helping the dragon. he let her keep it as a familiar. from that day forwards, the dragon grew quite quickly, asteria naming them comet.
