Elephants, Smilus, Gorillas, no prey was too big or strong enough to defeat the mighty warrior. But what he did not expect, was to lose the greatest battle of all. It had been a casual morning patrol. Marking territory, scaring off alligators, catching a snack here and there. However, Once he approached the river, something large came barreling out from the forest faster than any prey he had ever seen. He didn't have time to react before.... It rushed right past him? 🌊SPLASH🌊 Prometheus was soaked down to the bone, his crown and jewelery clattering as he tried to shake off the water. He turned towards the river, ready to tear apart whoever dared to disrespect him like this. Just as he reared his head into a snarl that would scare a demon, a glistening, ruby colored tigon gracefully pulled herself out of the water, her fur a deep crimson of freshly spilled blood. Prometheus' snarl turned into his mouth hanging, his eyes widening into shock. "Hello..." She said curiously, not bothered by the obvious danger she's in by approaching. "Who are you?" Pro..." Was all he could utter, his body frozen in place. "Prometh.." She raised her eyes to his muscular body, looking over his shiny bodywear and glittering crown of silver. It seems as she was losing interest Prometheus snapped out of it. "PROMETHEUS" he boomed loudly. "Okay.. Why are you yelling." She said half jokingly. He remained silent. "Mm... This has been nice, I'll be going now" she said turning away. And just as quickly as she came, she was gone in a thicket of underbrush and dense trees. The mighty warrior king stood there, pondering what to do next. This was a clear intrusion on his land, his body tightening at the ready of a fierce battle. But his mind wandered... Crimson flashes of red fur and impenetrable forest green eyes stung his thoughts until he decided to return home empty handed. But he did not feel his quest was incomplete, as he has found something far more valuable than any prey or jewels alike. And he will claim the Jungle Rose for his own.
