adira was originally a healer in her pride, helping animals of all shapes and sizes with her knowledge, regardless of species. her mentor was very understanding, allowing her to help others, even if they weren't lions. she met the dhole, oz, through these means, rescuing it from death. grateful, it repaid her kindness through work, loyally sticking beside her.
however, her pride would soon be ravaged by poachers. she and oz escaped with their lives, but her pride wasn't as lucky, little left by the time the attack was over. she was forced to travel at a young age, seeking a new home that would take her and oz in. she stayed in many territories, healing their sick lions during her time there, but she'd eventually leave all of them, knowing oz wouldn't truly be welcomed.
during her endeavors, she heard rumors of a pride who valued the companionship of other animals, adira immediately intrigued. she set off in that direction, offering her skills of healing in return for a welcoming place for her and oz to stay.
