The Story of One Strange Half-Lion

When an adolescent leopon confidently strolled into the territory of the Marshlands Pride one day, no one was quite sure what to do about her. She casually marched between the lionesses lounging about on the dried-out floodplains and made her way directly to the king, Reize, plopping herself down next to him and casually commenting on the weather.

In that moment, Elnara became Empress Elnara as Reize fell head-over-paws for the young hybrid. The lionesses, however, were suspicious of her - after all, why would an adolescent wander into a new pride with such conviction if not without an ulterior motive? But Elnara did not have any such motivation. As she would go on to explain to the lionesses over and over again, she simply did not fit in with the lions in her birth pride and left as soon as she felt confident in her ability to survive until she found a pride that suited her needs. The moment she entered the Marshlands territory, she felt right at home and decided then and there that this would be her forever home.

Reize had no problem with this, of course, making her his queen as soon as she transitioned into adulthood. Although he couldn't put his claw on it, there was something special about this little half-lion. Elnara felt the same about Reize and spent much of each day flopped down beside him engaging in mutual grooming or simply napping. Eventually, the other lionesses came to see that Elnara was not a threat. She was just a little bit odd as far as lions go, but then again, she was only part lion. Regardless of her parentage, Elnara ended up fitting in with the lions of the Marshlands and enjoyed the good life with her beloved king.

Yes, she's a bit awkward socially, but she's a sweet, kind and pure-hearted queen. What lion could ask for more?

Vermax sent me a lovely kimanjano from her first gen pon, Mwezi, (that she didn't make me pay for AND let me king because of how absolutely awesome they are!), and so, I'm sending them this pretty pon and adding to their crazy hoard of hybrids!
But seriously, they have a HUGE hoard of hybrids... He's really going for that pokemon life.
Gotta catch them all!

Thank you Vermax, for being the best lioden parent ever. I know I've said it a TON, but I literally would have quit if you weren't there to teach me how to play correctly, and give me tons of tips on how to play. I'm so happy I decided to keep playing, and that's all because of you.
