You approached Personification of Night to groom her, but she just sort of stared at you. She then shuffled awkwardly a bit before going to lay down in her usual spot.

The Personification of Night was a proud lioness, one whose pelt was an ever-sparkling tapestry of the clearest of night skies, nights in which the heavens opened to the universe above. Her eyes were glowing lights, as of the gleaming lights of newborn stars.
She was the descendant of the lioness Nótt, who was herself the personification of night far, far in the ancient freezing lands to the North, who, riding on the back of her horse companion, Hrimfaxi, drew the cover of night across the Earth. The Personification of Night lacked the intensity of the powers of her goddess ancestor, Nótt, but her powers were still mighty. She was one with whose every pawstep, should she will it, the cloak of night, of darkness, could be drawn across the sky.
She lived among the mortal lives of this pride, and she cared for them, though the nature of her existence, of her difference, caused her to keep a certain distance between herself and her lion pride mates. She was known to her pride mates as Night, known as Darkness by the other gods, as the Masker by the mighty Powers, as Unlight by the jötnar, who were the jötunn people; to the elves, she was Joy-of-Sleep, while to the dwarves, she was dream-Njörun, or the dream goddess. The dwarves who knew her by that name were a quite different species from the dwarves of the lion lands, the small mutated lions who, despite the Personification of Night's best efforts, she could not deny were adorable.
Regardless, she was enchanted with this world of the mortals, this realm in which creatures were born with the certainty of death, and whose lives were made all the more meaningful for that fact. Their spirits would join the Whispers of the cosmos in their deaths, yes, but their bodies would die. As a descendant of the goddess Nótt, hers would not. In some respects, this saddened Night, as it meant that those lions of whom she had become fond would pass from this world, while she remained, untouched by time. It was perhaps for this reason that she remained distant from the others of her pride.
Regardless, she had in fact come to love them, her pride mates. She had come to love these lands, their beauty, their richness of life, of variety in all the forms of life around her. It was stunning in an entirely different way than the magnificent palaces of the gods.
The food here was not bad either.
