Pava'Haorem

[Where we left off- Talking with Romesa.]
You approach Sivris and Noctru, who are chatting with Pava. She's explaining something, and the others look confused but transfixed. Noctru turns to you and smiles, and Pava looks up. "There's the third member of our little band," Noctru says, and you smile weakly, turning to Pava.
"Romesa told me you would know how to close the portal. She said you studied it?" you say, and she nods. "Oh, yes. I had dreams like yours when I was younger- I wanted to end the suffering of our pride. I never could do it, but it's a noble goal. Let me catch you up on all that the others know. The canyon is a spiral shape, and at the center of the spiral is a gateway. Only at night, it opens. You can't close the gateway from outside- you must approach at night and enter the world of darkness within. With Ademion by your side, you should fare alright in there, but never let your guard down." You nod.
"What should we expect inside the portal?" Sivris asks, and Pava sighs. "That, I cannot tell you, for I have never crossed the threshold myself. From my studies of lions far braver than I, there is a lake of blood- or fire, or magma, depending on the source- with an island in the middle. On the island is a spire, and at the top of the spire is some kind of a god of evil, or darkness. That entity keeps the gateway open. If Ademion can kill that god and absorb their power, the nightmare will end. It will all be over, and our pride and our god will be free."
A murmur of agreement ripples through your group, and Pava smiles.
"The other priestesses may not like you, outsider, but I have faith. I think you can free us. Seek Ademion now. They are the final and most vital piece of this puzzle."
