You hear from another pride mate that Hedone was telling them that she could beat you in a fight. Oh really? You'd like to see her try. Hedone struts up to you and you greet each other as equals. You later puff up a bit at her nerve. You bump chests with Hedone. She's your bro! -- From a young age, Hedone knew something didn't feel right. Things simply weren't clicking. While other lions worked without trouble, it felt like no matter what she did, there was something wrong. When attempting to seek help from the pride's healer, Perse, Hedone was guided up the mountain to instead speak with Wishingwell- an isolated lion who seemed keenly aware of her struggles. It was an enlightening talk, one which helped Hedone realize more about herself than she thought possible- and when she returned to the pride and shared the news, Perse was beside her to greet the others. Hedone's rebellious spirit sparked during her patrol outings with Achilles. She wanted to know everything and anything, and this included questioning the order of things. Her confidence only made her curiosity more dangerous, the two traits making her an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. Soon enough, the young lioness even began questioning the king's right to the pride. Despite Going's controlled temper, he was still a lion to be feared, and the pride had been witness to his brutality several times throughout his long reign. While her concerns are currently silenced, mostly to keep her mother's worry away, Hedone is not one to back away easy, and knows she'll soon have to face Going head on if she wishes to protect the pride from his iron-clawed rule. Hedone was among the small group who helped Vulcanal rise to power. Deciding that Going's temper tantrums had reached far past the point of no-return, Hedone rallied Achilles and other lionesses within the pride. After ambushing the aging king, Vulcanal, then an adolescent, was made the new king. Hedone is his closest advisor, not holding her tongue when aiding in ruling the prideland.
