Handsome approaches Gorgeous and tells her, “you will be the next queen”
Gorgeous gasps and asks, “I’m only 9 months old and I’m new here”
“Yes you are new but I see great potential in you. You also remind me of my late Queen. She was beautiful and a great leader, I’m sure you will be as well. And don’t worry, I’ll teach you everything you need to know”
“Who’s gonna be my mate?”, she asks confused.
“Maximus. He is my heir and you two will be great”, he says and smiles. Gorgeous looks at Maximus who doesn’t even notice her. The age gap is too great, 3 years and 9 months.
“Don’t worry, he will notice you when you grow up”, Handsome sighs as he sees Maximus ignoring Gorgeous.
“But we are far too different”, she sighs.
“Give him time, he is still hurt after Beauty was demoted to unable to breed. She was to be his new mate but I couldn’t allow that, she is an inbred. She agreed to my decision but he hasn’t come around to it, his heart is still with her.”
“Shouldn’t that be a problem? I mean, I’m nothing like her, she is beautiful and has been preparing for this, while I’m just me”
“Don’t worry little one, we will help you and Maximus will see your beauty once you are of age. As for now the 2nd queen will take the lead until you come of age. Now come, I have much to show you”, Handsome ordered. Gorgeous followed and looked at her future husband, Maximus then turned to look at her. He looked at her with such disgust in his eyes that she was startled and quickly followed her king. ‘How will I ever love him?’, she asked herself.

Thanks to the April event, Maximus decided to use it to fall back in age. Once he comes back from the springs, she wonders if he decided to fall back because of the big age difference that they had. Maybe he has grown to like her? Not long after, Maximus announces that Beauty was now pregnant with his cubs. Gorgeous was heartbroken, he hadn’t eve mated with her yet! So in verge of revenge she went to mate with another male outside of the pride. Once she was back and now pregnant, Maximus approached her and smelled the other male’s scent. He growled and asked where she had gone. She then answered, “to mate”. Maximus stepped back in disbelief and left. Gorgeous regretted her decision since he now probably thought of her even less. Instead of thinking of Maximus, she decided to focus on her future cubs. Once she gave birth, she loved her cub so much but Maximus declared the cub to be cast out. So Gorgeous found a lovely home for her cub and went back to the pride. There, Maximus declared that Gorgeous was his mate and Queen and that no other male should touch her.

After Beauty passed away, Gorgeous laid beside him. He was mourning her but Gorgeous didn’t say anything. She loved him and supported him even though he didn’t. Gorgeous was deeply saddened by the loss and didn’t take joy in her passing. She did feel a bit free since Maximus always compared her to Beauty. Hopefully she could show him how much he meant to her before she also passes away. And even maybe bear him an heir.

As time passed by, Maximus never paid any attention to his mate and never cared if she bred with another male. He was masked by jealousy til the very end. Gorgeous was heartbroken after his death and bowed that her children would never depend on a man as she did. She is living her best life taking care of cubs and distraught that her love story was never completed. But thanks to the new king, who is teaching her to live for herself, she is living comfortably as the queen she was meant to be.
