Singe's mother was Sunrise, the third lioness that Thunder Mane had claimed. She had a commanding air around her and it was clear in an instant that she was a figure of authority. To the other lions surprise, she was not the queen, though she would have fit the role perfectly and was instead only head huntress. She had the respect of the other lionesses, the king's favor and admiration, and was heavy with his cubs. She held a deep dislike for Dusk, believing her to be weak-willed and shallow. Sunrise knew that if Dusk were no longer there, she would definitely become the next queen. Now Singe is all there is left of her mother's legacy, soon to be replaced by her own cub to carry on the story.
