"Spice can be many things. It can bring flavor. It can bring fire to the mouth. It can purge illness, it can cleanse emotion. It can be bitter or burn endlessly. All of those once belonged to you, the young lioness who purged and burned. Maybe those feel like old days, spice that fades away with time. But some spice grows stronger. Think what kind of Old Spice you want to be."

She has a good sense of humor and loves to joke around with friends. She's a protector by nature, and very attached to her romantic partners. She has good manners, and she holds herself to high moral standards, always honorable and just.
Background
Spice never knew her parents. She can't remember far back enough to know when they left her to fend for herself. She knows she had siblings once, but they died one by one. She knows something happened to her, because of her scarred face and missing eyes. She's not sure why she can still see. Those were the days when poachers roamed the lands looking to kill lions. Spice got by however she could, and couldn't have cared less whether it was moral or not. By the time she was a young lady, she was a ruthless huntress who wanted nothing to do with prides. When she met a young lion who wanted to start a pride, though, she saw how she could use him to her advantage. His name was Iru. She stayed with him, and subtly chased off any other lionesses he tried to get to join his new pride. One day he brought home a lioness named Etan. Spice tried to get rid of her like the others, but Etan went right to Iru. Spice was furious at her, and the two got into a raging fight. Iru was shocked, and he told them they could both leave right now. Spice and Etan left him, and got into a huge battle, which Spice lost. She escaped and ran, and when she awoke she found a lone leopard caring for her. He was from a land far away, and didn't speak the same language as her. She called him Eemo. He was gentle and very caring, and she relaxed as the poachers began trickling away. From Eemo she grew to be more calm and understanding. The two loved each other even if they couldn't understand each other. They lived in the forest, in a glade below the high nest of a martial eagle, who Spice thought of as their protector. She was still fairly young when she got pregnant. She wanted to stay there and raise her cubs with Eemo. One day a young human from a nearby tribe came to the glade. Eemo and Spice hid, and they saw as the human sent a spear through the chest of the great martial eagle. Spice had a strange feeling that things were going to change. More humans came, and the water became tainted. Eemo grew sick from it, and when the humans came closer, Spice couldn't hide him. They took him, and she sprung out after them to stop them. They beat her back, and chased her from that land. She went into labor around then, and gave birth to only one cub. She dragged herself to the nearest pride, and her cub died shortly after. She wanted to go after Eemo, but knew without a doubt that he was dead. So she stayed, and a lioness named Green Envy looked after her. After a while they fell in love, and started dated.
How do you feel about Rose Queen?
"Miss Rose Queen is a hell of a fine queen, and she had the decency to take in a mother and her dying child. She is the political power that saved my life when no personal sentiment could have done, though she's not without that, either. Miss Rose Queen is the only queen I've ever had, and it feels good for once to know who to look up to."
Who is your favorite lion?
"While I hope you won't take this to imply that I disfavor any other lions, my own favorite is my darling Green Envy. I told you Rose Queen saved my life in a bigger picture sort of way. Envy saved my life in a deeply personal way. I've loved and lost a few times, but as I stand I won't lose Envy."
Who is your least favorite lion?
"There's a few good causes someone can dislike another. Moral repulsion, personal history, a clash of personalities. Then sometimes it's just because the other lion doesn't like you. Bells of Ireland cares for Envy, and I respect that. But I don't respect her. I respect no lioness who doesn't respect me."
