Calix had come from distant lands and had become an older lioness by the time she arrived at the humble pride of Feeking 1. She was frazzled and breathless but was taken in anyway. -- The lioness lay quietly by a stream her paw dipped into the cool water swishing back and forth in the weak current. The buttery afternoon light soaked her fur in warmth and tranquility. She was utterly at peace in her gentle surroundings. She had grown accustomed to being alone on her long journey to this pride and still relished the silence away from mewling cubs and scolding lionesses, the general sounds of a healthy family. She was called here by something strange and distant to continue her worship undisturbed and uninterrupted. She took every chance she could get to praise her luck that she ended up here, happy and well fed. As much as noiseless surroundings were rare here she was pleased to be in a loving pride.
