The king answers, lip curling into a grimace. "I'm giving you an opportunity to own up to it." Abyss laughs, a purred, sadistic song, while she bumps the top of her head up against the bottom of his jaw mid-stride, before rolling onto her back, exposing her silky underbelly. So trusting. It's an insult. "And what good would that do? It's not as if it'' change anything." Serin growls, but he knows that she's right. He can't afford to lose her. He'd only be punishing himself.
