Zara was unique not only because of her striking dark fur, but also because she was fiercely devoted to her queen, the wise and powerful lioness, Queen
Saylor.

Though Zara was a skilled hunter and a fierce protector of her pride, she had a secret that gnawed at her heart like an ever-present thorn.
