Jupiter Stripe 🌙

As a young little cub, she was the only one in her litter. This little cub looked just like her mother. By the time she was 5 months old, her future seemed to be figured out for her. Just like her mother, little Jupiter Stripe was going to be a cave protecter for all the future cubs to be. Her mother and father talked about it frequently. Her mother showed her around the cave and how to do things like fetch water for queens or getting food from the prey pile outside. She was ok with this. She knew it was an important job and she would like to follow in her mother's footsteps, but all the other cubs were always talking about cub training and going outside on hunts. She just wanted to be like some of them. By the time she was an adolesent, her mother was teaching her how to care for little newborns and how to take the younger cubs out for cub training. All of her friends were out on their first hunts while she was left behind caring for the little ones. As prudent as she was she was interested in this part of life, but she wanted to help make a big difference in her pride. The only way to do that was to become a great huntress. She was talented at hunting the few times she could convince her mother to let her try. She caught an elephant calf once, and a bush pig another time. How ever while this was exciting to her, her mother was stressed. It was a lot of work running a Youngling den without many helpers. She realised on one of her hunts that killing a zebra calf was like a human killing a lion cub. It did not make her feel good to be taking another daughter's life. She realised on her second birthday that she was ment for taking care of the young. It was in her genetics and it made her happy to see new life, to see young cubs prancing around, to help the expecting mothers to their nests. This was what she was ment to do, and in her opinion it was the most important job in her pride.
