Demoted from her original status as queen by her husband Henry, Catalina later became the leader of the Six Saviors, a small group of lionesses dedicated to ensuring that no lion is ever unjustly tossed aside or killed. She rescued Veronica and her cub Stardust after hearing tales of Veronica's 'insubordination', which struck a chord with her- she'd been accused of 'insubordination' many times for her refusal to step down from her position as queen.

She, along with the rest of the Six Saviors, fight against the evil actions of the Claws of the Damned, a cult which seeks to punish and kill lions who they feel are 'lesser', whether it be due unnatural fur colors, 'impure' (hybrid) ancestry, or 'deformed bodies' (mutations.) The Six Saviors were initially at odds as they fought for the affections of their king, but have since elected to work as a team instead.
