Madness got into this game to get things done, and she sure as hell isn't going to let herself fall behind. Her father was a worldly king, her mother a prize beauty of the pride, and Madness knew she was going to make something of herself. Her mother before her worked herself into a fever as a crafter for the pride. Madness is an ambitious lioness who makes the most use of her time. She's assertive and a good leader, and often takes control of projects. She has a rather uptight way of looking at things, disapproving of unorthodox or strange customs. All the same, she's no stickler, and if the rules are working against her, she's quick to toss them aside. She's not exactly traditional, but isn't into creative problem-solving or doing things differently. She's full of herself, and can be hard to talk to because of this, but under all that hubris is a truly good heart. She cares about others, and is friendly and sociable. She can be surprisingly thoughtful when she needs to, and despite her overachieving, she'll take time out to help others.

Background
Madness's mother was a workaholic who spent most of her time travelling for her job as pride crafter. She often left Madness and her older sister, Vampire Culture, with the rest of the pride. They were content there, two lovely young ladies with good prospects in a good pride. Madness was always closer with her mother, Vampire with their father. Madness soon took an interest in becoming a crafter, and even though she was a young cub, she was determined to impress her mother. Now, the pride would often have visitors, and the king always invited them to take some cubs home - they rarely had enough room. When Shock Wave, the Ikogosi Pride's crafter, came along to the pride to do some trading, Madness pelted her with a million questions. Shock Wave was delighted at this interest and attention, and offered to take Madness home and teach her. Madness accepted immediately, and began her training very young. In the pride, she formed a very close bond with Puawhananga, who was only a few months younger than her. When Puawhananga fought with her adopted sister, Blue Fortune, Madness stuck by her side. They soon grew as close as real sisters.
  
How do you feel about Rose Queen?
"I think I would make a few improvements if I were queen, but overall she's doing a very good job. This is a happy pride who trusts their leader, and that's an important part of running a functioning society."
Who is your favorite lion?
"Without a doubt, it's Puawhananga. She's my sister, best friend, my found family in this pride. Other lions can really be awful, especially to my girl, but I have her back."
Who is your least favorite lion?
"I don't hate Sweet Summer Love. In fact, sometimes I adore her. It's strange, and it confuses me, and that's why I don't like her. She creeps me out and for absolutely no reason, I adore her for it." |
