The lovely lioness was born in a Pride full of anger and discord. In desperation, her mother had fearfully set out with the little cub - knowing that she would be ridiculed for her folded ears. But when attacked by a pack if hyenas her mother was killed, leaving Riptide to fend for herself until she met a patrolling lion who said his name was Cherry. Following Cherry home, Riptide was welcomed by the king with wide-open paws. Now she hopes for a new beginning before the end as she waits in dread and fear for the King to get rid of her like so many others had.
