Biography
Named after a rather extensive complex commissioned by Roman emperor Nero which translates to Golden House. Nero commissioned it following the great fire of 64 AD to serve as a replacement to his personal palace. It once included a 30ft statue of this notorious jerkass of an emperor, but it was lost somewhere from 400-700 CE. Not long after Nero's death, Domus Aurea was stripped of its wealth and buried until the 15th century. Currently, only about 30% of it has been uncovered. My toxic trait is that I know a lot about roman history. sorry.
