This comes in handy during a hunt for obvious reasons, but Sleeksong will also pull out her bag of tricks for fun, profit, and to get out of life-threatening trouble. Probably the most memorable occasion was when a juvenile crocodile had a cub cornered on a stepping stone in the river, and Sleeksong borrowed the most annoying-sounding juvenile crocodile voice she’d ever heard to provoke him into stopping to instead whirl around and swim upriver to the river mouth to throw down right then and there. What a nasty surprise that must have been when nobody showed up! King Shard Dancer watched Sleeksong walk through the tall grass almost completely hidden and wondered how she would do on a hunt. Turns out the answer is very well. Very, very well. Sleeksong sits next to her king and watches the horizon for any incoming danger. Bees included. King Shard Dancer smiled while watching Sleeksong wrestle with the cubs. She was practically outmatched immediately! So cute.
