Biography
Hello. I have been told that I am to tell you my "story", brave lion. So. Are you a good listener?

I had a pretty normal cubhood, I think. I mean, I ate food, whined, played tricks on other cubs. What else is there to say about that part of my life? I had one best friend. Thorn Among Roses, or just Thorn. She was daring, brave, quick witted, sometimes even talking back to the king! She was also five months older than I. We all noticed lionesses disappearing, but who took note of that? Silly little lionesses run away all the time. I believed the king when he said that. At least, I did until Thorn vanished one day. Her second birthday. Thorn would have NEVER left without at least a goodbye. As strong headed as she was, she loved me and our pride. She was loyal to a fault. I became suspicious, withdrawn. I wouldn't eat, I couldn't sleep. I could barely breathe without her. Then came my second birthday. I was grabbed by the scruff of my neck, dragged out of my den, and told never to return.

Then I found my new king. He seems a little nicer. I'm not really sure though. He doesn't know what became of Thorn. Nevertheless, I will serve him as loyally, perhaps even more, as Thorn served our king.
