Mzuka is a lioness cub from a neighboring pride, gifted to the Kalahari Pride. Mzuka likes the simple things in life, like hunting and playing with her friends. She has no interest in being Queen, she’s happy just to have a pride full of lions she loves, and an adoring foster mom, Sandstone. As an adult, her eyes do drift across the border…
Dahlia is the one who discovers Niko-Hai, a nearby rogue with a small territory. She relays information to Maalum, who is the one who comes up with the plan. Niko-Hai has no pride of his own, and many of Brond’s younger lionesses have been getting that itch to move on…so Dahlia, Maalum and Mzuka cross the border one day ask to join Niko-Hai’s pride. He accepts, of course. Why wouldn’t he?
Also, she seems to attract hunting mishaps, no matter how careful she is, leaving her pretty heavily scarred at a young age. Her two best friends, Maalum and Dahlia, each earn a few scars of their own, leading the trio to jokingly call themselves the Scarred Sisterhood.
The warblers were a gift from Wema. Well, sort of a gift, he freed them from a human’s cage while exploring, and they refused to leave him alone, so he pawned them off on Mzuka, who is delighted.
Mzuka’s firs cub joins an allied pride and disappears, leaving Mzuka heartbroken. She doesn’t have any more cubs for a long while. Her final two litters are born late in life, with her youngest two cubs only being teenagers when she passes. She went peacefully, but her remaining son and daughter mourn her greatly all the same. Chaphaza stays in the pride, she is determined to honor her mother, who was one of the founding members. Tunza almost stays, but he can’t escape the instinct to rove, as most young lions do. He bids his sister goodbye and good luck just before their second birthday, and sets off to pursue his own future. Chaphaza understands. Her instinct to stay is just as strong, she could no more fight it than he could, and would never ask him too.
Mzuka watches over her cubs from the stars, always. Wherever they journey.

~Mzuka is relaxing near the back of the den, lazily pawing at you in greeting as you pass. She offers you to join her for a while and chill. 2x
~Mzuka approaches you during a nap and starts kneading your shoulders. Aahhhh. Awesome day. 5x
~You came back from a territorial dispute feeling stressed. Mzuka bumped shoulders with you and offered to hang out and share a meal by the pond. You relaxed as she told you a funny story of that day. 2x
~You lie out under the stars, paws in the air. Mzuka came by to join you. You both have fun watching the lights and chatting about nothing in particular.
