The recent loss of Anu, the spiritual leader of the pride, had cast a pall of sorrow and grief over both her family and the entire pride. They were struggling to cope with her absence, particularly Anu's close-knit family. During these sombre times, an extraordinary event unfolded, one that seemed like a divine message from the heavens.
A mysterious cub, later named Atlas, was found on the outskirts of their territory. It was a miracle that Atlas had survived the dangers of the wild, as he was left exposed to predators before being discovered. He was a heavenly lion cub, bearing a unique and miraculous story of his own.
Atlas was born with a condition called Lipomatosis and tragically passed away at just five months old. The grief-stricken pride was in mourning, but to their astonishment, Atlas seemed to return to life. His small eyes opened, and he shook his head, signalling his miraculous return. However, Atlas remained frozen in time, eternally a five-month-old cub.
Inexplicably, Atlas did not require sustenance like other lions did. He either refused food or ate only a few nibbles, yet he never appeared to starve. The pride interpreted his revival and unique existence as a sign from the Gods, and they embraced him with great care and reverence. Atlas became a symbol of hope, an enigmatic presence in the pride, a living testament to the mysterious ways of the divine.

The lumps covering Atlas' body are getting bigger..
Atlas has trouble moving. Looks like some lumps are growing deeper inside of the little cub's body as well.
Atlas no longer plays with other cubs, having all its energy drained by trying to stand up or walk with all that weight.
You notice lumps covering Atlas' spine and back. The cub doesn't move very much lately and is very apathetic.
Atlas passed away due to health complications.
