Queen of the Kalahari Pride, mate to Brond and mother to Adea, Nyongeza, Shani and Rego. Sheena is a wise and fair queen, and loves her family deeply.
Sheena was born in a pride that no longer exists, along with her sister Weena, and Lisaba who is a cousin/relation of some sort. All three were separated and lived as rogues for a while, before finding each other again in the brand-new Kalahari Pride. Sheena is Brond’s first love, and unchallenged queen of the pride. They are very much a power couple, Brond is a dreamer and Sheena’s a thinker, they make a perfect pair.
Sheena runs the pride with ease when Brond is off exploring, and teaches her daughter to do the same. Who knows, Adea may be a queen herself someday.
As Queen, Sheena likes to wear decorative royal body paint, a tradition carried over from her birth pride. Brond doesn’t wear paint, despite Sheena suggesting it, but he compliments his queen on hers regularly. Adea, Nyongeza, and Shani, their daughters, do sometimes wear paint like their mother.
Note: she got her facial scarring on a hunt.
When Sheena’s husband is killed in battle and the throne seized by his murderer, Sheena is plagued by horrible memories of her childhood and the destruction of her birth pride. Determined not to lose her new family and pride to a simple change of power, Sheena reluctantly accepts Mruki’s right of conquest. She gives up her Royal title, but still strives to lead and look after her pride. And in private, she mourns the lost love of her life, who helped her build a future.
~You approach a group of lions sitting in a semicircle. In front of them you see Sheena telling a story with great enthusiasm. You sit down and listen for a while before moving on.
~Sheena approaches you, gives you a small nuzzle and asks about your day.
~You find Sheena just as she made a great hunting pounce. You praise her and she positively glows. Warm fuzzies all around!
~Sheena sits with another lioness, carefully cleaning dirt out of her fur.
