Imani is one of three lionesses Brond ‘stole’ from a neighboring pride. It was an amiable theft, the girls leaving their father’s pride to start families of their own with their handsome new pride leader.
Imani is the youngest of the three, and while she’s a little socially awkward around the other Pride members, she finds she is a natural with cubs. She becomes a brood mother, and enjoys looking after lots of little ones, not just hers. She really rather likes Brond, and the rest of the pride…so long as they respect her personal bubble.
Her first litter consists of two fiery girls: Nadra and Simara. Just as they start hunting in their own, their baby sister Ekunde is born, and much to their mother’s relief, she’s much less mischievous than her older sisters. For now at least. Her older girls start their own hunting party and stay in their birth pride, but Ekunde moves to an allied pride with three of her half sisters just before her second birthday.
Imani dies during the Great Hunger, just shy of her fifteenth birthday, after eating some questionable meat. Due to her advanced age, she is unable to shake off the sickness as many younger pride members are able to. Her two oldest daughters look after her in her final days, and despite the sickness she dies comfortable, and very very loved. She is sure to give her girls her blessing, and reassures them that she’ll be fine: her sisters are waiting for her on the other side.
~As you two greet each other, Imani moves away when you get too close. You try to approach her again, and she begrudgingly accepts the friendly nuzzle you offer her. She looks a bit bothered about it, though. 3x
~When you approach to say hello today, Imani steps back and snarls, but she continues to be nice afterwards. 3x
~You wonder where Imani found that really cool bug she is playing with. When you ask her, though, she just invites you to play. Alrighty then.
~You went up to Imani to ask how hunting practice went today. She instead told you all about a cool bird she saw on the way. You guess she doesn't really want to talk about it. Ah well. 2x
