Kuishi is a peaceful soul, and her name means ‘to live’. She’s seldom not smiling, and loves to look after the other members of her pride.
Kuishi is the resident healer of the pride, she tends to hunting injuries, sparring accidents, and especially the birth of new cubs. She is held in very high regard for her skills, and for her caring nature.
Kuishi has a rather peculiar rule for her cubs. Since she trains all of them to be healers as well as hunters, she asks that they leave the pride as adults so that another pride may benefit from their skills. Her final cub will be the only one to stay, and take her place in the Kalahari Pride. Brond agrees to her plan with one condition: he will not force any of his children to leave if they don’t want to. He’s perfectly fine with them leaving to find their own home, but it has to be what they want, not what Kuishi wants. Kuishi happily agrees to this condition, and sends many young shamans out into the world.

~Upon your approach, Kuishi pauses licking her paw and boops your nose, giggling. 3x
~You were having a nice conversation with Kuishi when she suddenly suggests heading to the jungle to look at the cool fungi! Wait, right now? Really? 2x
~Kuishi flops on her back when you approach and tries to playfully bite you when you try to groom her.
~As you come near, Kuishi wakes up and yawns, then tries to sit on your back and go back to sleep, making you her pillow.
(Fun fact: Sheena got the scars on her face during a hunt, and while she’s not normally vain, she was afraid she wouldn’t be beautiful anymore with her face all cut up. Kuishi not only made sure the cuts closed neatly, she provided the moral support Sheena needed to see herself as she was: a beautiful badass Queen who was wounded providing for her pride. Sheena loves her for that ❤️)
