Baridi is a pretty lioness from a neighboring pride, seeking a new home to raise her daughter Kona in. She ends up at the Kalahari Pride, and hits it off with King Brond immediately.
Her old Pride called her Snowball, an affectionate name that she loved, but here she introduces herself with a new moniker: Baridi, meaning ‘cold’, for her icy pelt.
She makes friends with Kuishi after the healer keeps a face wound she sustained on a hunt from scarring. The two are inseparable after that, and the godmothers to each other’s young cubs.
This beauty has has five cubs total, three with Brond, one from her previous pride, and one with Mruki. 3/5 of them have had mutations!! Also, all of their names start with ‘K’, like the TLK naming trend (Kopa, Kiara, Kion, Kovu, etc.).
First litter:
1. Kona- Primal female, celadon eyes
Second litter:
1. Kimba- Achromia male (unseen hazel eyes)
2. Kuruguru- obsidian female (no mutation, but gorgeous)
3. Kitenzi- mane whiskered female, olive eyes
Third litter:
1. Kendi- 794208592348 ginger with maneater eyes (chased 1/19/24)

When Mruki kills Brond and claims the throne, Baridi’s oldest daughter flees with her mate, Rego. Baridi stays behind with her three younger cubs. She’s worried for the safety of all three; her girls don’t want children yet, and she will not have this new king pressuring them. And her Kimba…he’s a son of the previous king, the only one left in the pride, in fact. And while Kimba knows better than to challenge the deadly new king…his very existence is a threat.
So, Baridi moves before Mruki can. She accepts his reign and encourages her pridesisters to do the same. And, as many of the other middle aged lionesses do, she offers to bear cubs with Mruki. She’d love to be a mother again, and this way her girls won’t be pressured into having children before they are ready. It works like a charm
~Baridi approaches you, gives you a small nuzzle and asks about your day.

~You find Baridi just as she made a great hunting pounce. You praise her and she positively glows. Warm fuzzies all around!
