Kismet, meaning "fate" or "destiny" fits her well for her lore and the projects she'll help with <3
At a young age Kismet was born into a highly strict pride. But she knew she was special. She was trained differently, and while other kids were allowed rest she had to train every second of her childhood. But she never grew tired. She loved the routine. But even through that she was insecure. She had to be perfect. For whatever reason she was chosen to represent her pride and she couldnt let them down.
Sit straight, curl your tail, keep your chin up Kismet! The voices of her broodmothers, her teachers and trainers, echoed in her head. Demanding her every action to be modified and perfect. She watched as the lions passed her. Each eyeing her then staring at her price and walking away. Every lion that came and left made her heart sank. She couldnt fail her pride. She tried her best to look like a doll, to look beautiful and modest. But every lion just glanced at her then moved on.
She saw a lioness down the busy path and something about her.. was well different. She was in no hurry, just carefully looking at all the lions. Behind her was a small group of tired cubs that were complaining about their paws hurting. This was her chance. As the lioness approached, she felt the eyes of her broodmothers stabbing into her back and she quickly fixed her posture and lowered her head.
The lioness stopped beside her, and like normal the broods stepped forward to preach about the wonderful Kismet, but the lioness silenced them with her paw. She smiled at Kismet and in stead asked her the questions.
Kismet was timid. Shes never had to speak. Shes relied on her teachers her whole life to instruct her on what to do and say. But with the lioness watching her mentors couldnt afford to whisper orders.
The lioness introduced herself as ⋆⁺₊⋆ 【Salem】⋆⁺₊⋆ and, even though her price was way too high, Salem quickly paid for her. Her mentors nuzzled her and for the first time praised her. Wishing her well on her journeys. But Kismet was more than terrified as they started their walk. She had trained her whole life for this but this.. this was not what she expected. She thought she was to live a life as a piece of decoration. As a pretty toy for a king. Fit to carry royal offspring and to never touch the dirt again.
But Salem was as humble as they came. She spent all her coin on Kismet and she had barely enough left to buy food. But they never stopped at the markets. In stead she lead Kismet through a lush jungle where the trees touched the sky and the ground covered in bright colorful flowers. Eventually Kismet reached the pride and it was like nothing she had ever seen before.
Buildings sat high up in the treetops. The trees had small bridges and intertwined roots connected to them, making passages between the dwellings. Bright colorful birds sang their songs, flying past Kismet with no fear. Odd.. she could have swore they were singing her language.
She was introduced to the king, and he was definitely not royal or proper at all. He had long fur layered his fine muscles and his jaw was massive and strong. In short terms- he was a massive ball of fluff. And he acted like one too. He bounded over, full of friendly energy and introduced himself as "Little Atticus".. Little was not the right word. But everything here was so laidback. The opposite of her pride. It was kinda nice. She could get used to living like this..
But as time went on she yearned to explore the world, no longer chained to one spot she decided to leave. She wished Salem goodbye and left, looking for a new home.
