A regular lioness, teaching the royals how to hunt, and simply doing her job. Unless.... There's something else happening. The royals who normally only take patches mates and consorts..... But... The heir seems to like Locustspeck. Not out of lust, but genuine love... And Locustspeck shares that feeling!?! What is this? A movie???
But it's true. Locustspeck and The heir Popsicle Stick love each other!
She has been required to have a child for the current king, to pass on her beautiful base coat. Popsicle Stick is FUMING. He immediately sent both the cubs, (neither had the coat the king wanted, so he didn't care) to a nature reserve. She managed to snag one of her cubs, and keep it secret for awhile. Until it was found... And slashed and attacked infront of her. By the king. She is now quite shocked by it, and is questioning if she feels safe at the pride. She grabs her child from the king's claws and takes it to a nearby pride, hoping it would be safer there. Angry at the fact her child was attacked and almost killed by the king she runs away, to go find SOMETHING to give her joy. To make it all seem ok. Somehow... She stumbles upon a tree. Seeing many cubs playing, in a sanctuary. One... Wasn't playing, it was up in a tree. Watching... She climbed up to it, asked what it was doing, and what it's name was. The cubs name was Mocha, and Locustspeck talked with Mocha for hours. Mocha reminded her of her own children... And she adopted Mocha. At first, nobody accepted Mocha, even Popsicle Stick was fuming at bringing some random cub into the royal cave. She snapped at him, and he backed off. Surprised. The cub was pretty isolated from everyone.. and the king wasn't very happy. It was a ordinary cub! The king hated ordinary children. But Locustspeck didn't care, and protected her child. Sandsplash was the only one to understand... She had to hide Cubsina to protect her. As she was normal, very boring pelt, aswell as a male at birth... Sandsplash told Locustspeck she would be the nanny to Mocha. Locustspeck was very appreciative and happy at this, but would they succeed in protecting Mocha? Would Popsicle and Locustspeck eventually get together even with different views? Would Mocha survive to adulthood? Who knows.
As Mocha is now an adolescent, she has become reckless. The prankster and "immature" child in the royal cave. Popsicle stick, comes over to Locustspeck desperate for her love back. Locustspeck is very hesitant. She accepted, but on FIRM terms. With a desperate and obsessed but loving face he says"Anything!" She says... "I don't care for the queen role, but I must be your main mate, and you must accept Mocha as the future princess and your adopted child." He is dumbfounded, and confused. She stands firm on these terms. He accepts, taking the huge risk and ask hesitantly. She is a bit surprised that he accepted, and with a tolerated but relieved face she walks over to him and rubs her head against his mane.
As Popsicle stick approached her, caring for her and helping her through her pregnancy, she couldn't help but feel a bit bad. The king had rushed over to breed with her, she was confused why, but didn't refuse as she was an adult lioness, and he was her king. Popsicle Stick said he will meet her demands once he's king, and she accepted that, but still stayed strong on her terms.
She was so happy that Popsiclestar was finally king! Now they could love each other freely! Right...? But when it was announced Ravenriver the new Queen lashed at Popsiclestar! It was almost impossible getting her off of him! Locustspeck was terrified. Why was Ravenriver so jealous? Surely she wasn't even interested in Popsiclestar... She didnt act like it! She had two litters with other males! It was so confusing.
They had lived very happily, a wonderful marriage. But, every genetical child was... Boring! Plain, and male. She only had 1 cub every time to... But her new litter was two! And with a daughter! She was so happy. Except... Something was wrong with her son. He had... So many limbs, and died so early! She was absolutely distraught.
Her husband had died, with the new king taking over... She was in depression and denial of her lovers death
