Arboc left her original pride with a mission. She wanted to travel, meet new lions, learn about new cultures, see new things.
Her journey was going well, until one day she found Malenge's pride. The king impressed her with his manners - he offered her food, complimented her beauty, even took her to the nearest watering hole, even though it was a dry season. Malenge asked her if she would like to join his pride. Arboc wasn't looking for a pride to join, but she agreed to stay in it for a few days.
When she first saw Malenge's pride she was... Surprised. The lionesses looked so weak, sad... And maybe even scared? No no, they just had a hard dry season, that's all.
But Arboc soon realized why the lionesses were like this...
When she decided to leave Malenge's pride after a few days, the king smiled at her warmly and just said "No". She was now forbidden from leaving his lands. She belonged to him. Arboc tried to fight her way out, but the king was stronger, and it seemed like many of his lionesses were willing to fight in his name too.
Later Arboc tried to form an alliance with other lionesses in the pride so they could get rid of the king together, but not only they rejected her offer, one of them even told the king about Arboc's idea! Her "punishment" left a scar...
Arboc had to stay in the pride, she had no other option.
She began to accept her fate. She became just like the other lionesses, scared, cold, obedient...
Until one day, another lion visited Malenge's land. Anza - The king of The Lake Land. During his visit he managed to befriend Arboc, which she saw as a chance. He asked Anza to let her join his pride. At first he was hesistant, as he didn't want to take away his friend's huntresses, but Arboc convinced him to at least ask Malenge.
Since Malenge respected Anza and valued their friendship he agreed for Arboc to leave with him. But before she left, he told her to keep what is happening in his pride for herself. Anza didn't need to know about his methods of keeping the pride obedient.
Her nightmare was finally over. She joined Anza's pride, which was completely different that Malenge's. The lionesses were happy, the king was kind, and everyone lived in harmony.
After joining Anza's pride, Arboc decided to change her name, because it reminded her of Malenge and everything he has done to her... She chose to call herself "Misty".
Misty didn't tell anyone about the things that are happening in Malenge's pride. Anza has no idea how evil his friend actually is... Misty tried to tell him the truth multiple times, but she just can't. She feels like the brutal king will just show up behind her the moment she'll mention him.
She lives in constant fear of Malenge. Anza realized that something is wrong with her, but he got no answer when he asked Misty about it.
Over time, she got better. Malenge still lived somewhere in her mind, but Misty managed to live with it. When she was ready, she decided to have cubs with Anza. She gave birth to one healthy girl -
Autumn . For a few second she was the happiest lioness in the world, but then she realized how much her cub looked like Malenge... Autumn had her mother's spots and father's eyes, but her fur... It was brown! Not white like Misty's, or cream like Anza's, it was almost the exact same color as Malenge's! Still, Misty tried to be a good mother. She really tried! She took care of her daughter, sometimes even forgetting her resemblance to the cruel king, but the memories always came back, and the fear of her own child along with them. As Autumn grew up, she looked even more like Malenge... When she became an adult, Misty began to avoid her at all costs. She loved her daughter, she didn't want to accidentally hurt her because of her stupid delusions.
Misty was the first leader and creator of The Ice Claws.
As Misty grew older, she asked Precious to replace her as The Ice Claws leader. Soon she passed away. As she died, Misty felt both peace and guilt. She knew that she would eventually be freed from her fear of Malenge, but at the same time she was leaving her only daughter without explanation or apology for being such an awful mother.
