Haranatha found herself amongst the Sandhill Pride with Ciracuse one fine morning. She and her sister had been looking for a new pride to join once she had deemed her previous pride unworthy (mostly due to the fact that it was enormous, and climbing the ladder amongst the large pool of lionesses was not an easy task). She convinced her sister to leave with her, and once she discovered the Sandhill Pride, and realized it was only a king and his lone lioness, she saw an opportunity for instant advancement.
However, her plans were thwarted not long after she joined when the young lioness Nightowl came onto the scene. She was pretty, she was smart, and she was loved by all; aspects that Haranatha didn't have. Forced by the other lionesses to accept Nightowl as lead huntress, Haranatha was outraged and challenged the younger female. But the battle ended without a single swipe as Farasia and even her sister Ciracuse, chose to support Nightowl as leader and forced Haranatha to accept or to leave. Haranatha smoldered silently and stood down, but sought every opportunity to ruin Nightowl's hunts and make her look stupid in the eyes of the other hunters.
It wasn't too much later that she decided to chase her sister, Ciracuse, out of the pride for good. Hopefully some other pride would take her in, or the desert might claim her life. It didn't matter to Haranatha which option became reality.
Haranatha is stubborn and doesn't like doing what she's told. She wants to lead, but doesn't realize she lacks the wisdom and cunning needed to be lead hunter. For now, she bides her time, waiting for Nightowl to slip up so that she can step in and save the day...
