Biography
This is not a Diagnosable Disorder although it is recognized as a mental health disorder! I have struggled with it in the past when I was in a very bad situation. A little like 'shifting' but obsessive and addictive. This disorder could also be considered a disability if an individual has very intense, common daydreams they can't fully control!
A lot of the time people especially young teens or children will start to daydream or create "another life" in their head if something serious is going on at home/school/friends etc. Sometimes they will stick with one "life" or make up multiple "lives". These can range from being famous, living a better life (in cases of abuse), or even living in a fantasy/movie/book (normally called shifting but with shifting it is more controlled, not as intense, and not as frequent. Sometimes "shifters" will develop Maladaptive daydreaming.)

A very interesting disorder!
