Quail

On your travels you come across a small lagoon hidden in a cave. As you approach you notice a female lioness, she has red fur and gray stripes. But what stands out to you the most is that her fur is dusted with gold. She wears a sword at her hip and an eye patch on her left eye. Scattered around her on the rocks and in chests are hundreds of gold coins and treasures.

"Eye there matey" she says in a rough, almost unnatural accent. She shakes her head and laughs before saying, "I'm just messing with you, I don't talk like that" You ask her what her name is and what she is doing here. She tells you her name is Quail, and she is a broodmother in Snowstrikes pride. "I live here in this cave with my treasure, and the feisty little cubs I'm assigned to protect." She says,

"I used to travel the world and steal... I mean borrow treasure. All good things come to an end eventually though, so I ended up here in this pride. It's not so bad, and I quite enjoy my job. The cubs are like my treasure too, ain't nobody gonna mess with them without going through me first."

She notices you eyeing the gold coins and lets out a growl, you decide to leave before she gets too aggressive. But as you turn to leave she says, "Oh alright, you seem like a nice enough lion, here take a few coins, but don't go telling all your friends, I don't have enough for everyone." She tosses you a few coins, and waves good bye. You thank her and leave wondering how you stumbled across her in the first place.
