Red

Skyfall found a mngwa while exploring, and kept it safe inside a cave in the territory. No one was told of this, but one day, Red, practicing battle skills, accidentally stumbled across the cave.

She hestiated for a moment. She was extremely curious to see the inside, since there had never been any stories of this cave! And she should know her territory... but what if something happened to her? She made her decision. Gathering her courage, she went inside. "Wonder what's in here."

Out of nowhere, a huge thing jumped out at her, pinning her to the ground. Red used her hind legs to bat at it, only to discover nothing worked.

"What are you doing here?" the thing growled.

"I- uh- I was just-"

"Are you one of Skyfall's pride members?"

"Yes...?"

"Oh. I suppose I could let you in my cave for a while to explain yourself." The giant thing jumped off of her, staring at her warily. It was some sort of tiger-ish thing, if you give it top teeth that curl below its jaw, and some leopard patterns on its back half. It also gave off the stench of a male.

"You're the one who needs to explain. What are you doing here? Why are you on our territory? Skyfall should have found you by now! Unless..." Red gasped. "Did he hide you from us?"

The thing looked away guiltily. "The stupid- urggh." Red growled. "Whatever. It's not your fault he didn't tell us. He is still a good king, so I'm not leaving or anything. What are you anyway?"

"I... don't know. Skyfall said I'm a... mngwa? Whatever that is."

"Do you want to help me practice battle training? You were pretty good back there."

"Of course I was good! And yeah, sure. My name's Burnet."

"Red."

That's how Red and Burnet became friends.
